Computer issues AGAIN!

Sorry for the lack of posts this week.  My laptop up and died on me.  Luckily it's under warranty (as I always say, be sure to buy the extended warranties on laptops!).

If you've been a long-time reader, you may remember that my laptop has been in to have the motherboard replaced three times now.  It all started when it was only a month old!  So this last time, the Geek Squad at Best Buy decided it needed to be replaced.  For free, of course, because I had the warranty.

Anyway, I got my new laptop late Tuesday night, 5/18/10.  Wouldn't you know, that as soon as I got it home, I was having issues with it.  After chatting with the Geek Squad online, they told Hubby that it's a bad hard drive.  Are you kidding me???

Does this stuff only happen to me?  It's brand spanking new and it already needs to be replaced.  So Hubby will take it back tonight and hopefully come home with another new one.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

I REALLY don't have luck with these things.  My last laptop?  The one that the motherboard died?  That laptop had been a replacement for the one I had before that one.  The motherboard had died in that one too and when it went in for repairs, THEY LOST IT.  Yup.

I haven't actually bought a new laptop in YEARS.  Because every single one I get either dies early or gets lost at the Geek Squad while getting repaired.  And then they get replaced because I always have the extended warranty.

So the laptop that I should be getting tonight is a replacement of a replacement of a replacement laptop.

Got all that?  Because I know I'm hardly keeping it all together over here on my end.  It's enough to drive one crazy!

*Also, my review of the Ringling Bros Circus should be posted tonight or tomorrow.  We had a blast!  I need to upload the pics from my camera, but can't do that until I get my new laptop.*

I had to have the screen and hard drive on my laptop replaced in December, I took it to the Best Buy Geek Squad and they claimed it wasn't under warranty (according to Dell it is) and tried to sell me a new laptop that would have been over $600! I've only had the thing two years. I emailed Dell and they sent out a repair tech to fix everything for free.
