Quirky Quick Tip #17

Every Friday I am posting a Quirky Quick Tip. These will be random tips on a variety of topics... whatever seems to be bouncing around my head that day.

Tip #17
Have you checked your credit report in the last 3 months? In the last year? Well you should. And you can do it for free. No scams. No credit card required. No trial sign-ups involved. Simply go to AnnualCreditReport.com. Make sure you go to this exact site because there are sites with similar sounding names that will charge you for the same service that this one does for FREE.

Check back for more Quirky Quick Tips on saving money, organizing, crafting, cleaning, and saving your sanity.

there is one called www.freecreditreport.com. Is that the same one? If different, then can you tell me, which one is better?

If you use that site, you will be required to sign up for their credit watching service and you will have to enter your credit card information. They say the report is free, but it's only free for 30 days. After those 30 days, they will start charging your credit card a monthly service fee.

If you use the site I have listed, AnnualCreditReport.com, you will not have to go through all of that. It is completely and absolutey free. And they will provide you with the exact same information.

I use ACR also. It is the only one I have found with no strings attached
