Coupons, Part II

Last week I helped you to see the true value in coupons and how easy it is to save tons of money using them. This week I'd like to show you how to find more coupons.

First I'd like to explain that you should pick up coupons whenever and wherever you see them. They will come in handy even if they are for products that you don't/won't need. These can be used for swapping coupons with friends or within coupon trains. More about that later.

Where are all of these coupons? One of the easiest ways to find coupons... they are in the newspaper almost every week. Another place to look for a few are in magazines. Coupons can also be found along the aisles of the grocery store next to certain products.

A great way to get coupons is to simply ask for them. Who do you ask? It depends on the products that you like or would like to try out. It's very easy to go to the websites of brands that you like and email them or find the number and call them. Tell them that you like their product or want to try their product and many times they will send out free coupons to you! Some will say no, but others will say yes! Certainly worth the time if you have a few minutes to spare.

Several months ago I went to the site for SuperPretzel and signed up for coupons. Ever since then they have been sending me a bunch of coupons for their products! This has worked with several other brands as well.

There are other brands such as Pillsbury and Betty Crocker that offer coupons directly on their websites that you can print yourself. This only works if your grocery stores accepts internet coupons. All of the stores in my area do, but I have heard others say they have come across this problem in other parts of the country.

Lastly, you can find more printable coupons at sites like these: CoolSavings.com and SmartSource.com. They have coupons on a variety of brands. These are updated frequently so if you don't see anything for you, try again another time.

Check back for Coupons, Part III where I will discuss swapping coupons so you have a greater chance of getting ones that you can actually use.
