Reuse

I'm sure that no one will argue with the fact that one of the best ways to save yourself some money is to buy less stuff. Really, if I stopped going to Target, I probably would save my family tons of money. But I just looove that store, and I don't think there's any way you could keep me from my happy place.

Anyway, we all need to have stuff. And we all need places to keep our stuff. But why go out and buy more stuff just to hold, store, and organize, the stuff you already have? I love an organized home just as much as anyone, but I hate to spend loads of money on all kinds of drawers and storage containers when sometimes I may already have something that can do the job just as well.

Like shoeboxes. We all buy shoes and pretty much, they usually come in a shoebox. What do you do with that shoebox when you get home and start wearing your pretty new shoes? Toss it? Maybe you could find a way to reuse that box.

Shoeboxes are great for storing cleaning supplies on shelves.
Shoeboxes are perfect for storing craft supplies.

Shoeboxes can be used to organize all kinds of small items.

Shoeboxes can easily be stacked to save space.
A few other uses for shoeboxes: store children's small toys, organize pictures, put them in drawers to organize socks, etc. So before you toss that shoebox, think if there's a way that you can put it to good use. You'll be saving yourself some money, saving our landfills from extra waste, and you'll find new ways to organize your home.

What things do you reuse or find new uses for? Drop me a comment and tell me all about it.
